Aloha!

Hawaii you are such a beauty! My trip to this amazing place was surely one for the books. Hawaii is rated one of the top destination vacation spots in the world. Not only is it beautiful but it is also filled with a beautiful spirit! The people there are so friendly and care free.

We were fortunate enough to call Wailea Beach Resort Marriott home for our time in Maui. The resort is just steps from the beach which makes for the best views. The resort has multiple restaurants and half of those options offer a ocean view. There are two pool areas..one of which is a adult only area. As if that weren’t enough…The resort is also located right next to The Island Gourmet Market and The shops at Wailea. The Island Gourmet Market is walking distance from the resort. The market offers fresh Hawaii farmer food! You can get fresh fruit, sushi or even just head there for your morning coffee and donuts. The shops at Wailea is a outdoor shopping mall. This area is great for shopping and dining. The shops at Wailea has small boutiques as well as high end stores for a all around shopping experience. We found ourselves there quite a bit for both shopping as well as dining. The shops at Wailea are also just walking distance from the resort.

Let’s talk things to do in Hawaii. I’m all about exploring any new place I visit..Hawaii was no exception. Our first adventure was the water bike tour with Surf Cycling Hawaii LLC. We found this company through Viator. What a great experience. This is a newer attraction to Maui and it was so worth it. They don’t call it the ride of a lifetime for nothing. You basically ride on a bike in the middle of the ocean. You don’t have to do a lot of work and it’s very beginner friendly. If you’re lucky you’ll even spot some marine life during your ride. I highly recommend this new attraction!

Our second adventure was the Maui Island and Lahaina Town Tour. This was also amazing. We traveled the island and we got to see the amazing mountains and waterfalls. It was breathtaking. During this time we were also taught about the history of Hawaii and the people of Hawaii. After our tour of the waterfalls we headed to the town of Lahaina. The Lahaina Cannery Mall sits off the beach and is filled with restaurants, bars, and shops! It’s a great way to spend the day, shops for souvenirs and stop for ice cream.

Now let’s talk covid restrictions…

I know…it sucks! But, Hawaii has very strict covid restrictions. If you want to visit I highly recommend doing all of your research before booking anything. Although Hawaii does not require visitors to be vaccinated they do require a negative PCR test 72 hours before as a alternative to Hawaii’s quarantine requirements. Also they only accept test from specific facilities that are listed as Hawaii trusted travel partners.

You can double check that list here https://www.hawaii-guide.com/hawaii-trusted-testing-partners

If you go anywhere else for testing it will not be accepted! If you are fully vaccinated and plan to travel to Hawaii you must bring your vaccination card with you for travel. You also must be fully vaccinated 15 days prior to your trip. This means you must have your second dose at least 15 days prior to arrival in order to meet the correct requirements.

All in all a great experience! When we weren’t exploring or doing activities we were on the beach or at the pool sipping Mai Tai’s. There is no better way to vacation if you ask me…but don’t take my word for it. Head over to my Instagram Hawaii highlights to see my journey. Book that Hawaiian vacation as soon as possible, you will not regret it!
