It’s always a good feeling when your significant other makes you feel good about yourself right? But you know what’s even better when you know how to do that for yourself! I always strive to love myself to the fullest. I do things that make me feel good about myself. Think about what that looks like for you. It could be putting on some makeup, getting dressed up, completing a challenging workout…whatever it is that makes you feel good about yourself, try to do more of it.
First things first you have to believe in yourself…sometimes seeing is believing. So think back to things you’ve set your mind to and accomplished. Regardless if it was a big or a small accomplishment, you did it. That’s something to feel good about. You applied knowledge and discipline and that matters. Talk about a confidence booster!
I also hang around people that make me feel good about myself. I hang around people with good positive energy. I hang around people who also have self confidence and self love. The type of people who aren’t trying to put others down because of their insecurities. I’m not saying that your circle needs to worship the ground you walk on. I’m also not saying that they need to compliment you every single day, but at the very least they should NEVER put you down and make you feel bad about yourself.
Speak positive things over yourself. Focus on the positive. Think about the things you like about yourself. Do you love your smile,your hair, your sense of humor or that you’re a great listener? When you focus on all the amazing qualities you have to offer it helps build your self confidence. It’s also another reminder as to why you should absolutely love yourself even if no one else does!
