I hope that I never get so comfortable in my relationship that we forget to date each other. I think date night is important no matter how long you’ve been with your significant other. One thing about my love is he’s gonna make sure we have a date night. He’s always down to try the latest restaurants and bars. I can appreciate that!
There’s something about experiencing each other in a new atmosphere that adds to the excitement of a relationship. Trying new food, drinks, and music together. Traveling together as a couple. All those things can make your world together so much more enjoyable.
I love a good date night and luckily I live in a big city that has some great spots. Houston makes for a great date night scene. Here’s a few of my favorite places to go on date night.
Capital Grille! I recently experienced the luxury that is Capital Grille and I’m hooked. This steakhouse is hands down the best that I’ve been to. The menu consist of the chef’s suggestions such as filet mignon, bone in ribeye, and lobster tails. If your like me then you’re looking for anything that’s not beef or pork. No worries, I’ve got you covered. Capital Grille has Tuna, a pan seared Sea bass, and a citrus glazed Salmon which is delicious. I also loved the crab cakes and lobster mac and cheese. Not only was the food amazing, the service was impeccable. We felt so welcomed and I can’t wait to go back. If you’re looking for fine dining and Sommelier-selected wines look no further.
SOMA! Soma Sushi is located on Washington Ave in Houston. It’s a glam Japanese restaurant with great sushi, mood lighting and a full bar. Even though SOMA is a sushi spot they have a large range of food on the menu. They have seafood, ramen, and meat dishes. The lighting screams date night, it’s dimly lit and the bar has everything from classic cocktails to their signature drinks. My fiancé took me to SOMA years ago and it’s still one of my favorite places.
El Pueblito Patio! El Pueblito Patio is located on Richmond. This laid back Mexican spot has a great garden patio with intimate seating. It’s a whole vibe. You can listen to soft classic Mexican music while sipping a margarita. This is a great affordable and fun option for date night. They serve fresh Mexican cuisine and tropical drinks that are sure to put you in a great mood!
