My fiancé and I decided to visit Palm Springs for a quick Valentine’s Day getaway. I suggested Palm Springs because I wanted something different. We’ve both been to Miami and Vegas multiple times and we did Cabo last Valentine’s Day. So Palm Springs it was. I must say I think I made a good decision! Palm Springs is filled with fresh air, gorgeous days, fun shops and plenty of food options. What I love about Palm Springs is the laid back atmosphere. We stayed at ARRIVE hotel. This PALM SPRINGS hotel has 32 guest rooms, a poolside restaurant and bar, and endless sunshine! Let’s just call it the perfect little getaway. It’s located just steps from the best restaurants, bars and shops in the city. After checking into the hotel we received complimentary cocktails! Talk about a warm Palm Springs welcome..my kind of vibe. We headed to our room to freshen up and then it was off to grab lunch. Thai Smile came highly recommended from Yelp and our Lyft driver. When we left we were absolutely all smiles. Thai Smile is located in downtown Palm Springs and they provide premium handcrafted Thai cuisine. Each plate is individually prepared from start to finish and comes out hot and fresh. It was really good and worth a try if you’re ever in Palm Springs. They did ask for proof of vaccination cards as did pretty much all the restaurants did. If you do plan on traveling to Palm Springs I highly recommend bringing your vaccination card with you everywhere or having a 72 hour negative covid test as some restaurants will accept that as well. After all that goodness we decided to walk and explore downtown Palm Springs for a bit. We came across the famous Marilyn Monroe statue as well as some other great outdoor artwork in the city. Next it was time for ice cream so we stopped at a little shop on the corner then headed back to the hotel. The next day after brunch, we tapped into the Palm Springs laid back spirit. We used a mobile massage company called Quality Mobile massage spa that came to our hotel and provided us with deep tissue massages. It was so relaxing! Then we took full advantage of the hotel pool and restaurant bar. It was quiet and felt like our own little oasis. Sitting pool side with a drink in hand and a view of the mountains?! Uhm..yes please. All in all Palm Springs made for a good little getaway. We were able to spend some much needed time relaxing and reconnecting which is all I truly wanted.
