I headed to Sin City this weekend for a little work and lots of play. Even though it was a really quick trip it was such a good time. Vegas really does have a lot of fun things to do and its a great place for a quick weekend trip or a day trip if you’re lucky. It’s one the best places for theater and live music. Vegas also has interactive exhibits, the Bellagio fountain show, gondola rides, a roller coaster and so much more. 

I arrived early Friday morning so after check in it was time for breakfast. MTO cafe was the perfect place to start the Vegas Experience. MTO cafe is located in Downtown Las Vegas. They offer a modern take on breakfast and lunch classics. The red velvet waffles were yummy and the country fried chicken was seasoned perfectly. I loved the large variety on the menu. One of the best thing about this casual spot is the Megamosa (2 bottles of champagne mixed with OJ and purée) which is a must try. They also offer a Minimosa (1 bottle of champagne mixed with OH and purée) these options are so fun! They make for some great photos and they taste great. Also the service was A+! I highly recommend. It’s very casual and no where near as fancy as Caesars palace but for some good food and drinks it’s the place to go. We had a great waiter that told us about The fremont street experience that happens every first Friday of the month in Vegas. The huge street fair has vendors and live music. I didn’t get a chance to make it but I’ll definitely keep it in mind for my next Vegas visit. 

Another good food spot I would recommend is Flights Restaurant. This restaurant is located inside Miracle Mile Shops. Flights specializes in serving food and drinks in flights of three.   They have happy hour all day everyday. You can get one flight, three flavors for $15. The mimosa flight was pretty good and I really enjoyed my omelet. Flights is a good option and the unique themed restaurant is another great way of adding to the Vegas experience.  

On Saturday we headed to Drais beach club for an epic Vegas pool party experience. I don’t say that lightly. As someone experiencing a Vegas pool party for the first time..even though it wasn’t my first visit to Vegas..believe the hype. A main reason to go to Vegas is the pool parties! Drais is the #1 dayclub with a rooftop pool party at the Cromwell hotel. The rooftop has views of the Las Vegas strip. Every week Drais has celebrity guest and performances. If you’re looking to party and have a good time then Drais is a must. Drais is a hip hop forward beach club but Vegas has so many other options if that’s not your preferred genre. I’m so glad I got to add Drais to my experience because a time was had. The DJ’s, live entertainment, views of the strip…10/10 

If you’re looking for the Vegas nightclub experience Marquee is a good option. Marquee nightclub is located inside the Cosmopolitan hotel. The Marquee is a club with global DJ’s, high tech effects and multiple dance floors. It’s a very popular Vegas nightclub in a great location and a go to Vegas party destination. 

Another thing people love about Vegas…the live shows and some of the best shows in the world. After all isn’t Vegas the entertainment capital of the world? The Awakening is a new show in Vegas playing at The Awakening theater located inside the Wynn Las Vegas. A good Vegas show is the best way to experience Vegas. I enjoyed the show and all of the costumes and choreography. I loved all of the bright lights. Vegas has so many shows to choose from it was a bit hard to decide on one. Overall I would give it a 7/10. I would love to see Cirque du Soleil next time. 

Vegas also has other tourist attractions like Madame Tussauds. Madame Tussauds was museum is located at The Venetian hotel Las Vegas. The tickets are about $40 per person. The collection is a bit smaller than some of the other locations and took about 45 minutes to complete. It made for a great last minute activity before heading off to the airport. I was able to make some more amazing memories in Vegas.I’m sure I’ll be going back for more because Vegas really knows how to show a girl a good time!
