Review the Magic of Nobu Los Cabos: A Traveler’s Delight

My husband and I decided to unwind in the Luxury of Los Cabo’s grace and serenity to celebrate our 1 year marriage anniversary. Although we’d been to Cabo before we’d never experienced it quite like this.  We did enjoy ourselves a lot back in 2021 which is why we decided to go again. This time it was all about luxury and celebrating not only how far we’ve come in love but in life. We’re in a better financial space and that also deserved to be celebrated. And celebrate we did…in the ultimate 5 star luxury that is Nobu. We’d both heard great things about Nobu Los Cabos but nothing could’ve prepared us for how great it would be. The Nobu brand is truly a luxurious hotel. This beach resort was nothing like the places I’d been to before.

First let’s talk a little bit about the beautiful property. It’s completely secluded and private, which was nice. The Japanese aesthetic of Nobu is so clean and unique. It’s the perfect fusion of architectural elegance. The property has amazing views of the water. The ocean views scream vacation. The hotel offers a 200-room property, a luxurious spa, infinity pools, private cabanas, and a variety of bars and dining, including a Nobu los cabos restaurant. You’re greeted with a welcome drink (matcha tea lemonade) that’s delicious. You’re escorted to the front desk for check in. Then you’re introduced to your personal concierge who is available for your entire stay. The personal concierge is available to answer any and all questions you may have, book reservations for you and help you address any issues during your stay. After check in you’ll receive a map of the large property and be escorted to your room. We had the private pool room. It was clean, spacious and had a beautiful Japanese soaking tub (which I happily used more than once). The rain showers were a nice feature as well.  The contemporary Japanese minimalism really added a special touch to the room. My only complaint about the room was the “private” pool wasn’t so private.  We often saw workers walking back and forth working on the property because Nobu is expanding. It creates a unique challenge when it comes to true privacy. As a guest when you book a private pool you are under the impression that the outdoor area will actually be private. The private pool rooms are facing the dunes which is a decent view but it wasn’t as pretty and private as I’d hoped it would be. It’s safe to say that was the only thing I can complain about when it came to our stay. Even that is a bit of a reach as Nobu was overall a 10 out of 10. The hotel guests are treated with so much care and the luxury amenities have yet to be beat, not only in cabo san lucas but anywhere that I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to.

Ok next up, something that can absolutely make or break a vacation for me..the food. I cannot stress this enough. EVERYTHING we ate was good. I have never in all of my travels been to a resort were all of the food was good. I absolutely could not believe it. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, desserts..you name it, we had it and it was good. Now, I will say we spent about $150 per meal but it was worth it. The food checks all the boxes..taste, portion, quality..NOBU does not miss. We stayed at the resort for 4 days which gave us time to try all of the restaurants except the steakhouse.

Another great thing about this modern luxury resort is that it has Vegetarian, Vegan and Keto options on the menu as well as cocktails and mocktails! I love that they offer such a great variety no matter what your diet is.

We took full advantage of the spa at Nobu hotel Los Cabos as well. Our Esencia wellness spa package included a private yoga class (they also offer fitness classes) hydrotherapy experience, a 50 minute massage and manicures. The hydrotherapy was an interesting experience we started in the sauna, then the steam room, next was the ice fountain (which you can use as a body scrub, if you combine it with organic aloe vera improving your immune system) then the cold plunge which was 19 °C and freezing. After the cold plunge was the cabana jacuzzi and we ended in the pool before our massages. Talk about relaxation! Our package was about $520 ($260 pp)

The hotel does give a daily $75 spa credit that can be used daily and if you don’t use it you lose it. It’s really just a way to get you to spend money at the spa, there are no services that are $75 everything is well above the $75 credit you receive. Also, if your willing to listen to a 2 hour presentation about the new Nobu “residences” Los Cabos (which they’ll try to sell you as soon as you check in) you’ll receive a $300 credit for food and beverage ONLY! We weren’t aware it was only for food and beverage and we only got to use half ($150) before checking out of the hotel. Don’t make the same mistake we did, $300 is enough for a few meals.

If the spa is not your thing or you’re just not looking to spend the extra cash, I completely understand. I think that you’ll really enjoy the pool areas. Nobu has 3 pool areas. They have an adult only pool, infinity pool and the main pool which over looks the beach and beautiful sapphire waters. Also the cabanas are available first come first serve and you don’t have to reserve them. I love that! I really enjoyed this hotel and would absolutely go back. For those with kiddos I wouldn’t say that Nobu is a place for children. The property is clearly for adults but I do believe they have a kids club and they have babysitting options. I would recommend Hard Rock Hotel next door as it appeared to be more kid friendly in my opinion.

If you’re looking to go, do it! It is a 10 out of 10 across the board. From the Japanese detailing, to the laid-back luxury, it was truly an experience. It may take some careful planning but If you decide to visit Cabo, NOBU is absolutely the best option.

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.
I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this.
Also, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari.

    Excellent Blog!

  2. certainly like your website but you need to test the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless I will surely come again again.
