Another month, Another trip! I cant believe it’s only March and I’ve already taken two sponsored hotel brand trips this year. It is a great place to be so early in the year. God is so good. This brand trip was also in the United States. It was Las Vegas! I had a hotel partnership with Sahara Las Vegas hotel. Also this was my best friend Lashaunda’s first time in Vegas. It was the perfect way to introduce her to sin city. We were able to do some of the best things that Vegas has to offer. We truly enjoyed the weekend filled with fun things to do in Las Vegas. We arrived on Friday from an early morning flight so that we could have the full day and make the most of our weekend. Sahara Las Vegas hotel is a beautiful property. After check in we took the elevator to the 28th floor where our hotel room awaited. Let me just say that Sahara took very good care of us. We stayed in the Marra Suite with a great view of fabulous Las Vegas. It was so lovely.
After we settled in we headed to grab something to eat. We decided on LoLo’s chicken and waffles. They offer all day breakfast and It is a very popular spot in Vegas. We wanted to check it out especially since neither one of us had ever been. I recommend going during the week, we went on Friday and still had to wait 45mins just to be seated. I ordered the KK’s from the LoLo’s hood classics. The eggs and grits were very disappointing and I do not recommend. I did really enjoy the waffles and the chicken was pretty good. The chicken was nice, crispy and had pretty good flavor. I have had better but it was a good option. I really enjoyed the vibe. The music was old school R&B, and it was most definitely a vibe. After leaving LoLo’s we headed back to the hotel to get a little rest. After that we enjoyed the view from our suite, had a few drinks and then it was time to get ready to head out to see Cirque du soleil.
We all know that Vegas has incredible shows and it’s the best way to tap into the Vegas experience. Especially for all the first-time visitors. I’d never been to a Cirque du soleil show before and it did not disappoint. We saw Mystere by Cirque du soleil at Treasure Island. It was a great show and it was very entertaining. I absolutely see why it is so popular. It’s truly an overall experience from the music, production and costumes. It was very impressive. We both enjoyed it very much and it was a great way to spend our first night in Vegas. After the show we went back to Sahara and had a few drinks at the hotel bar Casbar Lounge.
Saturday morning we slept in, of course because….vacation right? Then we headed off for a scenic drive past all the neon signs to brunch at Marina Bistro for a great time. This was the perfect place for us to have brunch because it was most definitely a vibe. It’s a brunch experience that I would recommend simply just for vibes. They have brunch friday-sunday. Marina Bistro has a live DJ and bottomless mimosas for $25! It’s located about 15 minutes from the las vegas strip. The music was great and versatile. They played everything from reggaeton to hip hop. The food was okay, but I’m convinced the main reason people go is for the vibes and bottomless mimosas of course. After brunch it was important that I took her to all the sights such wynn las vegas, caesars palace and to the bellagio fountains. We went in chanel for the luxury shopping experience and I grabbed a fragrance to celebrate my partnership with Sahara. After a full day we headed back to the hotel to get some rest.
The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and caught our flight back to Houston. Although we didn’t get to experience the Fremont street experience, explore downtown Las Vegas or go to a Vegas Nightclub (this time) we had a great trip and really made the most of our time. I absolutely want to go back soon so that I can take Lashaunda to more experiences like the high roller observation wheel, the nightclubs, the pool parties and so much more. I mean face it, there’s nothing like the Las Vegas Nightclub and pool party experiences right? We will absolutely be going back!
