Los Angeles always knows how to show me a good time. This time was no different. Los Angeles is one of my favorite cities. It’s a great place and I hope to be a permanent resident one day. Until then I’ll be going back and for every chance I get! Los Angeles is home to some really beautiful places.The perfect weather, beautiful views, great food and the Hollywood elegance of it all is so appealing. This city has some of the best things to do. I have a couple of my favorite places that I always love to visit when I’m in town on the west coast (Jitlada, Roscoes chicken and waffles) Both of which are some of the most popular places in the city. But, This time I was able to find new gems that I want to share. 

The deep end Friday Nights at Ace Hotel

We had the best time here. This rooftop in Downtown LA was so much fun. It was one of the best places I’ve been to to have a good time. This is such a great place for a smooth mix of r&b, hip hop and rap. It’s 21 and up and it’s free. If you’r looking for a vibe you should check out this spot. It was a diverse crowd with a nice view, good drinks, and great energy. The drinks are a bit pricey. One margarita will run you about $22. This is a bit overpriced in my opinion, but they were made well. The entire night you can take in the natural beauty of the city and it was one of the best ways to spend a Friday night leading into my birthday. I would love to go back next time I visit.

Malibu Beach 

Next up was Malibu cause who doesn’t love a good beach day? It was a little bit of a road trip for us since we were staying in Hollywood but it was worth it. It took us about a hour with traffic to get there. For the nature lovers, this is a great spot for you to explore. I enjoyed the sound of the waves and taking in the views. It was no where near as beautiful as Laguna beach in my opinion but it’s a good option. It was my first time in Malibu and I enjoyed it. California is no doubt a good place for the beach. I’d encourage you to see as many as you can. The summer months in California are amazing! Malibu also makes for a great relaxing and free day which is great if you’re on a budget. It also offers great outdoor activities for the entire family. You can also find multiple restaurants along the beach if you’re looking to make it a full day. Parking in the garage for beach access was about $10-15 and super convenient. The beach is definitely one of the most popular things to do on the California coast. It’s makes for huge tourist attractions especially for those of us that don’t have nice beaches back home. I’m so glad that I got to experience the beauty of Malibu.

If you’re looking for a LA brunch option checkout Home. This place is a laid back neighborhood style restaurant with a full bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. Also I really enjoyed the food and drinks. They get pretty busy but fortunately we only had to wait about twenty minutes for a table. It was worth the wait, we had a nice time and really enjoyed the atmosphere. My favorite thing on the menu was the Egg Fried Rice. The Egg Fried Rice is made with Orzo, Turkey sausage, sliced marcona almonds, chives, lemon and a sunny side up egg on top (I got my egg hard fried.) It was yummy! I also got the cocktail by the name of “A lil bit of passion” it’s made with Blanco Tequila which was pretty good. Also we had to get the mimosas which were good as well. Coming across this little gem was a treat. I look forward to going back!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting many cities in California from Palm Springs, Napa Valley, I’ve been to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier for me there is just nothing quite like LA. It’s the perfect place for me.
